Quirna

Deleting your account

You can delete your own Quirna account, and an administrator can close an entire organization. Both are done from the Console, and both wait 30 days before anything is destroyed.

Delete your account

You stop being an approver. The organization and everyone else in it carry on.

  1. Sign in to the Console and open Settings.
  2. Under Deleting, choose Delete account.
  3. Open the link we email you. That is what starts the 30 days.
  4. Changed your mind? Cancel it from the banner in the Console, any time in those 30 days.

Removed: your email address, your name, your devices and your sessions. After 30 days your account cannot be signed into and you appear as “Deleted user”.

Delete the whole organization

Administrators only. Everything goes: every person, policy, system, approval and decision. A paid subscription stops renewing, and is not charged again.

  1. Sign in as an administrator and open Settings.
  2. Under Deleting, choose Delete organization.
  3. Open the link we email you. Every administrator is told, and the 30 days start.
  4. Export your evidence before the 30 days are up — afterwards there is nothing left to export.

What is kept, and why

Decisions you already signed keep the email address you signed them with. Every approval in Quirna is signed at the moment it is made so that it can be verified later by anyone, and the signature covers the approver's address. Removing that address would break the signature and destroy the record it exists to protect, so we keep those payloads exactly as they were signed.

When an entire organization is deleted this stops applying: its decisions are deleted along with everything else.

Backups also keep copies for a short time after a deletion, and they age out on their own. This is described in the Privacy Policy.

Cannot sign in?

Email [email protected] from the address on the account and we will handle the deletion for you.
